Time for a Change, What about Singleton?
Date to be determined
As part of the Singleton Festival Youth Program we are running a film competition to develop and showcase the talents of our young citizens, while promoting Singleton Local Government Area.
We are looking for four to eight production teams to each create a three to four-minute news story/pitch/music video/drama/comedy skit with the aim of encouraging new emigrates and residents from Sydney to think about Singleton LGA as a place to call home while creating a sense of community.
Would you like to learn a great new skill?
There is no skills prerequisite required, as the aim is to foster the development of video media production skills. Each of the teams will be given basic training in the principles of shooting a quality video production, while working with the latest technology to best help tell their story.
Are You Eligible?
Participants must be 18 or younger and can be from organisations like schools, youth groups or other associations. Individuals are also encouraged to participate by joining specially created teams.
Will you be at the Red-Carpet Premiere?
There will be a screening of all the films at a red-carpet premiere at a date to be determined. Trophies and prizes will be awarded for different aspects of the productions, like photography, writing, editing, presenting, etc. With one film awarded the gold trophy and prize money of around $2000.
